Privacy Policy

squish is a private app for two people. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, and a display name if you choose to set one, used to create your account and sign you in (via Firebase Authentication).
• Content you create. Memories, photos you choose to add, milestones, plans, chat messages, mood entries, daily answers, personality- and compatibility-test responses, and the statements you write in the "Relationship Court" feature.
• Approximate location. Only while the app is open, and only if you grant permission, to show the distance between you and your partner and to pin memories to a map. Location is not tracked in the background.
• Device notification token. If you allow notifications, a push token for your device is stored so your partner's actions can notify you.
• Basic usage and diagnostic data. Aggregate, non-identifying information about app usage and stability, collected through Google Firebase, to help us fix problems and improve the app.

How we use it

Your information is used only to provide the app's features. Content you create in a paired couple is shared between you and your partner. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Where it is stored and who processes it

We use the following third-party service providers, who process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms:

• Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Hosting) — stores your account and all app data.
• Cloudinary — stores and delivers the photos you add to memories and chat.
• Anthropic — when you use the AI "Relationship Court" verdict, the case details you and your partner wrote (category, statements, defences) and each partner's derived personality style are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the verdict. Anthropic does not use this input to train its models and retains it for a limited period for abuse monitoring only.
• Cloudflare — runs the small server function that relays the "Relationship Court" request to Anthropic. It does not store the request.

These providers operate on infrastructure outside Türkiye (primarily the United States and the European Union).

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → account settings). Deleting your account removes your personal data and your entries from our database. You may also contact us to request deletion.

Children

squish is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
